Montenegro.com for Hosts

Refund Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

Montenegro.com host tools are free — there are no subscriptions, no paid plans and no add-ons, so there is nothing of that kind to bill or refund. The money that does move through the platform is guest booking payments and our commission on them; this page explains how refunds work for that money. Accommodation bookings are governed in full by the platform Terms of Service.

Who charges what

One money flow, so your statement makes sense: Stripe, our payment partner, processes guest booking payments made on montenegro.com. Our commission is deducted from the booking before payout — it is never billed to you separately, and no other charge from us will ever appear on your statement. Bookings you arrange directly with the guest, and bookings taken on your own property website, are between you and the guest.

Guest refunds on bookings

A guest's right to a refund follows the cancellation policy you set on your listing (flexible, moderate, strict or super-strict), shown to the guest before they pay. When a booking is refunded under that policy, our commission on the refunded amount is not charged: commission applies only to money you actually keep.

Commission on any booking is locked at the rate in effect when the booking was made — a later change in your earned rate never retroactively changes a completed booking.

Earned commission rates

Lower commission rates are earned through rating, cancellation record, booking volume and identity verification — they are never purchased and never expire with a payment. The full ladder and the exact earning thresholds are published on the hosts page.

Your website and data

Your listing page, your own website at yourname.montenegro.com, your guest conversations and every host tool are free and stay available for as long as you host with us. Your content and data remain yours and exportable at any time.

If you delete your account, your public content is removed promptly, and records are retained only per the schedule in our Privacy Policy (account data 3 years, booking records 7 years, identity-verification documents 5 years, technical logs 90 days).

Faults

If a platform fault on our side causes you a loss on a booking — for example a payment we failed to process or a payout we mis-sent — contact us and we will make it right. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback — we would far rather resolve it directly and quickly. A chargeback can suspend the related account automatically while the bank investigates, which helps neither of us.

Historical subscriptions

Before August 24, 2026 we offered paid host plans. They were discontinued in favour of the free model; no active subscriptions remain, and any question about a historical charge can be sent to [email protected].
